All or Nothing
Brad Humphrey, senior in logistics and supply chain management, tosses up a shot during his heat of the competition.
Students and faculty practiced their sharp shooting skills in an event called "Knocking Out the World Record."
The event began with a total of 360 participants. The previous record holder was James Madison University with 201 participants. The event lasted one hour and 55 minutes, finishing about five minutes earlier than the previous record holder. To reduce chaos, event organizers had participants sit in the bleachers of Hilton Coliseum and called down sections for the next round in the tournament. After being eliminated, each participant had the corner of their identification tag torn off to keep a running total. Each person also received a souvenir ticket and had the option of purchasing a special event t-shirt.
